which one of these engines are harder to fit in a 318i if you have the donor car?

i was thinkin either of fitting a 318is engine in my cab or a 325i not sure i know the 325i is much faster what the fuel economy like between them?

any one have any of these either for sale?

Some would argue that the 2.5 isn't that much faster than a IS engine. However I think a 2.5 suits a convt better, better crusier nicer engine noise!

You'll need bigger breaks different propshaft for both, but a m42 has a more similar parts.

Because of it's high revving nature my iS feels as fast as the 325s, but in reality it's not.
Main difference between the two is that the needle on the economy gauge on the iS frequents areas of the dial rarely seen on the 325's.

For a cab you want a nice creamy six for cruising in. Not a buzzin Four!

Front springs would have to be changed for a 325.

I think you need the 2.5 for the torque to pull the weight of the convertible.
If it was for a saloon then it is what ever come's up the cheapest in the long run.

i got 325 springs on my cab already i took them of a another 325i they are lowering springs

ny engine in my car has a worn cam i'd reather change it to the 1.8is or 325i

both seem to be good i seen alot of people saying theat the 320i isnt that good i got a 320i its got a switchable sports box on it and its so quick its beat a 325i before and a few golf gti's
