I had something similar on my touring, it turned out to be the catch on the tailgate needed adjusting.

A couple of more serious options:

Rear shock top mounts - a common problem You can visually check them to see if the rubber is perished from inside the boot. Not too bad to replace yourself though

Rear axle bushes - a real pain to change them so fingers crossed its not them

Also the baffles rattle in my exhaust but the exhaust itself is fine. BBS centre caps can also rattle if not fitted correctly - it took ages to track that one down!

I had exactly the same rattle in my Touring, turned out to be the top rear shock mounts, had the rear sub frame bushes changed at the same time too.... no more rattles.... :D

jump in the boot and have a friend push the rear of the car up and down, listen around the carpeted area around the top of your shocks, if the noise from there then the rubber bushes have been worn out. easy fix pull the carpet out and replace (or remove the top nut and stick an extra big washer in there for a temp fix, and you will only hear the spurs on your cowboy boots winkeye mine still going strong after two year temp fix)
