I have a LHD 320i (M20) 1990 Cabrio and it has a slight leak in the power steering rack. I have used an power steering fluid additive but it has not helped. Does anyone know if the power steering racks are the same on both LHD and RHD cars? Or is this a stupid question?

a bit of a silly question. they are the oposite way round.

the column attaches on the other end of the rack.

Not that silly. It's convievable to be able to fit a rack upside down, and move the pinion to the other side. The reverse steering would make for interesting driving though!
