what make a 325i an 'SE'?

new to bmw's so please bere with me, im currently looking to purchase a black E reg 325i convertable which im told is SE. I guess this is a better spec, what should i expect for this to be true or is the seller just saying it to make a sale? :oops:

In the articles section there's a document which explains what each model of E30 is and what "extras" make it an SE for example.
