Coolant light

my coolent light keeps staying on in the computer check thingy, i have checked the levels and they are fine, any suggestions?

If your coolant is definatley up to the level mark, then it is probably the sensor...
These can be replace for around Ԛ£15 I think.

Hi,
my 320I does the same thing, changed the sensor and it still stays on, if I press the check button on the panel the CHECK light on the dash goes out but not the coolant light
Given up in the end!
I know thats not any help just thought I share it

Vernon77 - Make sure you've fitted the right sensor. There are two versions, one for the combined header tank and radiator set up, which is fitted with the connector downwards, and one for the inner wing mounted header tank, which is fitted with the connector upwards.
Fit the wrong one, and the light will come on when you have coolant, and go out when the level is low.
Don't ask how I found this one out.
