You could just plug the motor in with the flap pushed down and it will hold.

I meant fold the roof down, then push the flap down, then push the flap motor into position. Quick 'n' easy fix.

when the hood flap motor turns it picks up the locking bracket that is behind it, which in turn pulls the 2 cables that in turn close the 2 claws that lock the cover down. on mine the arm was bent (towards the front of the car)by just a few mm and as a result as it turned it could locate with the arm behind it enough to pull the cables. take the arm out (a single allen key i think)and lever it out check that it is at a good right angle and not bent beyond 90 degrees if so put it in a vice and return it to 90 degrees and refit it ....i hope this helps its not very easy without pics ....a tip dont adjust the 2 cables as when it operates correctly they will be to short and at the very least you will snap the cables
