Just started stripping an M40 for a rebuild.
Got the electrics separated from the rail and want to remove injectors to get them tested/cleaned.

How are they fitted into the rail and the manifold? They appear to be a push fit but are reluctant to pop out.

Don't want to start forcing them.

Anyone help?

They are a push fit, although they can be quite tight.
I usually start from one end, gently pulling upwards, and they gradually pop out in series.
Be careful when you're pulling the injectors out of the engine though, the plastic end caps can be rather brittle.

I felt the same thing when i tried to pull the injector's out of a 2.5 manifold yesterday, they are just push fit mate and are tight when coming out but just use a bit of brute force  I had six to pull out lol
They will come out :thumb:

I used a bit of leverage ie; pry bar.
