thinking of lowewring my tourer about 35 to 40 mil ...after fitting 15" x spokes with 205 50 tyres it looks a bit high TWO QUESTIONS...
1. WILL THE REAR TYRES WEAR UNEVENLY WITH THIS DROP
2. THE FRONT APPEARS HIGHER THAN THE REAR IS THIS THE NORM AND CAN I LOWER THE FRONT A BIT MORE TO COMPENSATE.

mine is still high.. and I don't know what drop its got. The rear looks 60 or so.. the front 35. Looking at getting a whole new set of springs/shocks and sorting it out that way.
Good luck!
35-40 you should have no problems with tyre wear... apparently you can drop it 60 ish.,. but use an eccentric bushing to compensate.
Not sure though.

I dropped mine 40 mm with new shocks - standard ones from ecp, and springs off ebay - 20 quid bargain!
Sat higher than it did before the changs then settled down nicely to a drop of of 30-35mm after a week or so.
Looks much better now!

The front arch is higher up the wing than the rear one. That can have the effect of making it look higher.
Try parking on level ground and measuring from the bottom of the sill at the front and rear. The back of the car should be a few mm higher.
Are the rear beam bushes OK? If they're shot, that can drop the back of the car a bit. After I had mine replaced, the car was about 15mm higher at the back. Doesn't sound a lot but it sure looks it!

Whats the difference between M-tech Suspension and Standard (Shocks & Springs)?
I believe I have standard suspension and have been told to replace the strut insert as its nocking. These are £26 + vat at ECP
Would it be worth lowering the car by 30 mm while its all apart? If so whats the best route?
Cheers

You can do. I went 60/40 front/rear drop and the back looks like it needs to come down a bit moreelvis wrote: 2. THE FRONT APPEARS HIGHER THAN THE REAR IS THIS THE NORM AND CAN I LOWER THE FRONT A BIT MORE TO COMPENSATE.
