Hey.

My OBC computer stays on ALL the time. I don't light up, infact u can't really see it.
When The key is out of the ignition, u can make out the OBC can tell u the time and the Date.

When the key is in ignition when car is on, (and position 2 maybe position 1). It tells me the Temp.

Should it tell me the time/date when the car is off, with out pressing a button to ask for it to tell u.

Also i noticed, i set the date and time on her, when i turned her to position 3 and then 0, the clock and date reset its self. Would this be due to flat battery.

Also how can i make the Temp readout on OBC read in C NOT F. And is it telling u the out side temp thank you

And whats this MEMO button do

Is it a 6 or 13 button obc? Dont know much about the 6 button, but the time is shown all the time on the 13 button and when you switch the ignition on there is a backlight which lights the display! Bulb could be gone on urs and there not cheap 2 replace! also to change the temp setting there is a small button in the bottom right hand corner, u will need a pin or something!!

I think the unit in question here is the 6 button as it has the memo function. This gives a chime from the gong a few seconds before every hour. The display will still be faintly visible even with the ignition off. If you press the 'time' button with the ignition off the display will light up for a few seconds, but only time, not temp' . To change from C to F you need to pull the unit out and turn selector dial thingy on the back. It's very obvious once it's out. And yes, it's telling you the outside temperature.

having just changed mine I can confirm that its dead easy ...as to it not lightng up there are two bulbs that need to be repaced and according to oem they are $2.5 ..you will need a pair of long nose pliers to get them out ..just twist and gently pull. as to telling the temp all the time maybe cos its near to freezing and its trying to tell you

Also, you mentioned the time/date re-setting, once you've set them, you have to press the time button again to stop the little dot flashing, it will then store the time/date.
