Hi all,
1. Just want to know if 9x16 inch wheels will fit my 89 325 sport with 215/40 tyres front with 225/40 rear ,what offset would be best for this size and would any body mods be needed (i hate rubbing tyres on arches) Anybody who has fitted this size wheel would they reccomend it and what drawbacks are there and will the tyres wear uneven ie. faster wear on the inside .
Cheers.
9 x 16 wheels are they a sensible mod or a nuisance

so far i dnt think he has had any scrub problems
but i dnt think he has slammed the touring yet so
the probs could be coming when he does

Yes cheers for coments lads......
Any who...
As posted above by dazza and paul im running 9x16's all round and to be honest people told me to avoid the 9J at the front as it wouldnt be such a good drive....
However i thought to myself id go for it, here are a couple of reasons why and an answer to brian's theory. Also a little picture for you mate to show you how it looks.
1. Looks the nuts
2. Handles like a train
3. Why go for 7.5j when you can have 9j
4. To be honest ive noticed no diference in fuel consumtion really, drank like a fish before and drinks like a fish now, no difference
But i know not to question mr moooore because i know this guy knows his shiz-am
No rubbing issues but ive not gone low enough yet to see how low it would go! i reckon a 40mm drop will be plenty but if you wanna go lower 60mm+ you gonna need arches rolled etc... im currently looking into the big drop and its looking better by the day... the garage dude reckons he can, roll and re-paint my arches for £10 a corner because i know him
....at that price i cant afford not to have it done really. lowering kits are cheap as fook now so maybe it'l happen if the mrs lets me
