Hi guys,

I was topping up the coolant on my 325i when i heard a dripping sound all of a sudden. I have taken afm/airbox out and found a skinny pipe coming from the head of the coolant bottle just hanging!?! One skinny pipe goes to the top of rad which is fine. Another goes off to the right somewhere but what does it connect to??

Hope you can help!

I think that's just a breather/overflow pipe, it shouldn't connect anywhere.

Is it! But its a bit worrying that water is dripping from it. I have not noticed this before? Are there any diagrams i could have a look at?

Should push through a hole in the inner wing just behind the coolant bottle. Doesn't connect to anything. It's just the drain for excessm coolant.
If water was dripping from it when you were topping up the coolant, then you just spilled some into the filler neck.
