Hi All
Am i right in thinking that if i disconnect the blue temp sensor while the engine is running and the revs rise this means that the sensor is working ok?

Just measure it (engine off) when cold, the resistance should be around 2000 ohms - falling as the engine warms.
If in doubt they are less than £20 from a dealer and take about 1 minute to change with a 19mm s/plug socket.

Disconnecting blue temp sensor would make the ECU think the engine is extremely cold, so it would increase the revs and badly overfuel.
Proves that it works, in that it does something, but doesn't prove that it's within spec.
