Still having problems with the central locking

the three doors (both back and passenger door) are still locked.

The key wont operate the passenger door lock-does anyone have any idea as to how to get it open?

I just need the passenger door open, and dont mind locking them individually

What, you can't open the passenger door from inside either? Will the interior lock not pull up? Maybe you have the lock set to deadlock, can you not turn the driver side lock with the key? Seems like the system is knackered, maybe some lock expert on here can help you.

how do you remove the deadlock or does it only work with the central locking on?

not sure of the tech details (sure someone will fill them in!)
But can the deadlock not be triggered/untriggered by operating one of the realys by hand in the c/l black box? (the one by the driver's footwell)

I've got the same problem and have had for weeks now, makes for some interesting Dukes of Hazard style manouvers from my mates!

My central locking packed in.....again so I took to using the deadlock, then my drivers door barrell broke so now the car has been sat with the drivers door permanently unlocked and no alarm (due to electrical problems) for about 6 weeks! I cannot get any of my doors to open other than the drivers, had to clamber onto the back seat and feck around with the load cover to get to the fuel filler sollenoid. Pain in the arse.

Will get it sorted soon.......ish........maybe.

Good excuse not to give people lifts.

Could be that the lock cylinder on the drivers door is past its best so you can't disengage the dead lock. Mine is the same. Basically what I did was played around with the key in the lock until finally it opened. I had to do this as all doors were locked  . Once it was open I now never lock the car from the drivers door in case the deadlock activates, just lock and unlock from the passenger door or the boot  .

I have seen this article for fixing the lock cylinder but haven't got round to it yet

My ETK gives 2 numbers for the repair kit so take your pick:
51 21 9 061 344
51 21 9 556 313

If you give this a go let me know how it goes
Cheers

When my old saloon did this I found that I had to take the door trims off and disconnect the actuator rod from the locking motors.

The duff central locking makes it look like its dead locked. Got the central locking problem (plug in drivers door A pillar) fixed and jobs a good un'.

hope that helps

Deadlock motors are released by a 12V+ pulse to the black wire off pin 11 of the locking ECU, but applying an external 12V while the ECU is plugged in will damage the ECU
if the deadlock switch in the driver's door is stuck on.
If you unplug the ECU, then earth the blue wire (pin 1), and apply 12V to the black wire.
Locks should lock, with ECU unplugged, if white wire is earthed and 12V applied to the blue wire, and unlock if these two wires are reversed.
