The central locking packed up yesterday and I have no fuel and the cap is locked shut.
Ive tried looking for the white box mentioned in other threads but cant find it. Is there a way of unlocking the fuel cap without using the central locking?

Cheers

Can you get in the boot?

If so,pull the panel out on the drivers side, you will see the selonoid there, slide the rod back manually.
Should open now!

remove grey side trim on drivers side in boot

then you will see the solonoid that locks petrol cap

slide the bar back if you can

if not remove the solonid carefully and ur petrol flap is open

hope that helps mate

Julian,regarding the C/L fault,check the relay/fuse first,then do a search for Red/Black wire in tech section,very common fault with C/L failure!

I did try that, but I cant find the white box. Is it under the black trim next to the sill?

Cheers

There is no white box. Don't know where you got that from.
Central locking ECU is black, and lives directly under the drivers footwell loudspeaker, BUT is probably not at fault anyway.
Do a forum search using my username and red/black, and you will find how to cure 75% of CL problems.
Regarding the fuel lid locking. There's no need to remove any trim. Theres a small flap in the trim that you push a hooked wire through
