Hi,
Im looking into buying a 1989 316i black bmw. The one im looking at has a rust hole on the near side scuttle panel. There is a picture of it but im not sure how to place it into this post. Im just wanderin if anyone would be able to tell me whether this panel can be replaced and how much it would roughly cost me to go about doing this?
I will greatly appreaciate any help,
Regards,
Antoine

Hi, you can buy the scuttle panel new from the dealers, depending on how bad and where the rust is, a bodyshop will normally cut out a pice of the new part and use that, shouldn't cost a huge amount, but judging by some prices I've seen on here, it seems to depend on where you are in the country.
I've had the scuttle replaced on my M3, and with all the other work I had done at the same time, didn't cost too much.
