Does anyone know if the M3 tracking arms (Ali) are longer to compensate for the wider track or is it the hub ?

I'm considering fitting the M3 bushes to a standard setup but have been looking at the spacing of the wheel in the arch and don't think it's going to work

The trouble is mine already rubs on full lock and i'm wondering if the E36 M3 ones that Brian mentioned (solid standard ones) would be just as good or would the gain be purely from increasing the castor with the E30 M3 bushes ?
I'm wondering if the offset ones are like that just because the M3 has a wider track
