Hey everyone, I have a 4 door 316i and im going to be spray painting a few bits on the car but i can't find the colour code for the car in order for me to get the right colour paint and was wondering if anyone knows where i would find this information.

where abouts on the VIN plate would the colour code be? and what is it? i.e letters,numbers?

Near the bottom, three numbers/another number usually. First three numbers are the colour, last number is the variation in shade.
