How easy is it to take down the back section of the Touring headlining?
Thought a rattle was from the bootlid, but it's actually from by the back of the sunroof casette. Really noticable with sunroof tilted, different with it slid back.
Anyone been here before?

Slide the sunroof completly back and check all the little cross head screws that secure the tracks before you drop the lining - the lining must be the bitchist part to play around with on an E30.

Far easier on a touring than on a saloon though. No fabric tucked under the rear screen to deal with.
If you do need to drop the lining, then pull off the top of the rear door rubbers, the top of the rear hatch rubber, the trim panels up the rear pillars, grab handles, interior lights, the covers over the hatch hinges and unstick the edges of the fabric.
Most of what your problem is likely to be though, is accesable by sliding the sunroof open, as Nelly says.
If you want to remove the roof completely, then slide the roof partly back, pull down on the lining at the front to release several clips, push the lining back into the roof out of the way, move the roof to the tilt position and unscrew the six torx screws that you will now be able to see from inside the car.
