325i reving @ 1000rpm

Hi

My 325I is idling at 1000rpm and does not drop.

I've checked for air leaks all clear no leaks.

Anyone got any ideas

hi,could just be your idle control valve,take it off and give it a clean,also
,check that the throttle is closing fully,whilst the car is idling push the cam that the throttle cable attaches to on the throttle body so that it is definetly fully closed,may need adjusting,mine idles at 800 but thats coz its chipped! also,to check for air leaks spray carb cleaner around anywhere air can leak and if it finds a leak you will hear the revs go alot higher,hope this helps
