Hi

My 325i was starting fine, but today

It will not turn over or start, when I turn the key all I hear is a single click coming from a switch marked S - E - 123.
I think it may be the inhiblator switch.

Also in P the car does not move, but select any other gear Drive, Rev, 123 and it moves, is the cluch dis-engaged?

How can I get the car started again?
Is it possible to start the car without the inhablator switch? HOW?

All comments and ideas gladly welcomed.

Imran

HI Imran

I think that it is a starter motor issue, as i had a similar issue with my cab.

Try jump starting it - this would normally allow it to start with mine.

The issue turned out to be the yellow/black wire which goes to the starter - it was broken internally. I connected up another cable to inside the cabin under the glovebox. You can disconnect the faulty cable and connect up the new one there.
