replaced it today with a oem part, the old one had oil on it, and there was also a minor collection in the air intake hose.
i read a while ago someone else had this, and another someone else said its ok as long as itԚ´s not too much.
i separated it between the afm and the inlet hose. could the oil (on the filter, in the hose or in the afm) cause it to take longer to start in the morning?

I don't think the oil problem in the intake would cause the longer starting problem, have you serviced the car lately? Dizzy, rotor, plugs, blue temp sensor?

easy si
i changed the blue and brown, 4 months ago when i got her.
the sparks and exhaust were new.
ign. cables and rotor/dizz are next (subject to funding),
blue and brown made no difference,
filter made quite a big difference, it doesnt feel so choked off the lights any more
set of sparks, 20 quid so i might just get em for the sake of it
i could go brand new on the cables for a 1Ԛ´er, and get her tuned for an extra 100 (valve ajustments)
oil is a next also (iԚ´ve got a new filter in the glove box
)
just waiting until some decent oil comes on offer over here
