I went over to calais last weekend and had to put those shitty headlight angle changers on, dont really work. I'm driving to Brussells this weekend, and read in the owners book and it said that all you have to do is turn the headlight, it goes into more detail, I was just wandering if anyone has tried this?

i drive abroad in my e30 all the time....

the whole point of the smily headlights is that they'll work on both left and right hand side of the road....

..you dont need to use these for the e30 (as long as ya got smilies) restricts the light to 30 degrees to each side (i think)

A bit off topic, I know, but can you fit the smilies as a straight swap for the older style lamps?

What the hand book is reffering to is the abilty to adjust the headlights for LHD or RHD.

This is the process....

On the back of the smiley headlights, you will see some screws. loosen the screws and the inside lens/Lamp holder part/Whole back part can be rotated.

Not for LHD RHD but to drive on the wrong (right!?) side of the road.

For driving on the wrong side, you would need to turn it.

It's up to you. Ideally yes (It is a BMW and conceived to be done easily), I was doing it when stayng in the UK more than a week. Depends if you're going for a day or so (and if you're driving at night) I doubt it will harm anybody for one night or so. The chance of police stopping you for this is 0. (Watch your speed -this is a reason to stop you).
