Hallo all!

Just picked up my new 318i :D

It's got a red light on on the dash tho :? It's on the right of the 'oil service' lights, inbetween the P and the ! lights... Anyone have a list of what all the lights are?!

(also, whilst driving the car back, it sort of died, for about 20secs... then came back to life... It didn't do it again for about 10mins, then it did it again really quickly... injectors??)

:?

Going by your description, it sounds like the brake pad sensor warning light. This usually comes on if the brake pads have worn down to the sensor or if the sensor lead has come off (or been disconnected). Have a look at the passenger side front brake to find out which.

No probs, forgot to mention - if the brake pads and lead look ok after checking, you could either replace the lead (about Ԛ£3 from a dealer or somewhere like euro car parts) or take the bulb out of the dash!

And devalue your car by making it look like it's been serviced by the local branch of Wild West Motors!
DO IT PROPERLY, or get a Ford.

Sorry Brian, only done it once (honest! :D ), on a 316i belonging to a neighbour that has done 200,000 miles (used to be my father's car). The value of the car is about the same as a new sensor lead, so we took this option!
