Hi Guys,

Is this normal? when i turn my steering wheel the whole alternator and power steering pump move/shift, causing a horrible grating/squeaking noise. I removed my AFM etc to see if the bracket was loose or something, turns out is broken, a clean break!
So when when i try to turn and i hear the noise would it be one of the belts because of the movement?

When you turn the wheel with the engine on this puts load on the power steering pump's hydraulics, with a broken bracket it will twist the pump causing the belt to squeal and probably grind the pulley against the block.

If you need one I'm pretty sure I have a spare bracket knocking about.

Cheers,
