I was driving to work this morning and it soon became apparent that something wasnt right, the car was running like sh1t!
Anyway, I got it into work and popped the bonnet, checked the leads, one seemed a bit suss but I removed it, burnt my hand on the manifold, and replaced the lead.
I also checked the oil level, that seemed ok and the oil looked ok, so I then removed the oil filler cap and on the underside of that, there was a silvery coating.
Its sods law that my mechanic isnt in today though.
Is it ok to drive the car approx 2 miles, just so I can get the car home?
Head gasket gone?

If it is the gasket and its only starting to go it should be fine as long as you keep the revs down and its only a couple of miles. Just keep an eye on the temp needle and make sure the water doesnt go too low.
Mine had full on mayo when my head cracked and it drove about 10 miles home fine without heating up.
