Checking that the electrics work as you go along

Hi,

Silly question but i need to ask this.

I'm in the process of installing every thing back in the car. The doors are connected, so I decided to connect the battery. I connected the central locking ecu and the socket to the electric windows and locks.

Nothing happened. No power. so I can only assume it's an earthing issue. Or I need to complete the dash install for everything to work.

Any advice.
