Hello, I assumed I need a new fuel sender (or 2!) . My fuel gauge is temperamental and give dodgy reading / dead . I’m shocked at the prices of OEM parts . Do I need to replace both ? Also is there any other alternative to OEM parts? Thanks

Are you sure its the sender? I wouldnt be buying new parts until id tested everything, there are a few tests you can do, for example you can join the wires together on the pass side and it will tell the gauge the left side of the tank is full, so the gauge needle will then move to at least half way

Common cause is the wires from the sender on the back of the diff going brittle.

Thanks for replying to my post. I will check both (diff and senders) before I buy anything .

Hello, before I start do any test, I went and filled my tank up full. The needle on the gauge moved to half way . So I assumed the sender on the O/S (driver rhd) is dead?
