Hi can anyone tell me how to identify later E30 disc trailing arms compared to the smaller hub type. I know the outer hub diameter is around 90mm but are there any other tell tale signs. Happy to put up a picture if any experts can confirm. Thanks in advance.

This is in preparation to do an e36 5 lug swap. C

Non disc arms don't have the caliper mounts on them so its quite quick to tell the difference.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear. I wanted a way of identifying the trailing arm suitable for the e36 42mm hub opposed to the 39mm hub from say a 318 compact. Without having to measure the inner bore of the arm.

Did the late 1990 prefaclift cars have the larger trailing arm type or do I have to go for a face-lift. Or is it purely on the years.

Cheers
