Fuel pipe bracket bush

Hi there ,

My fuel pipe metal bracket Phillips screws snapped as I undone them and on 2 it snapped it off with the bush(insert with thread welded on to car). Is there any repair that can be done without having to weld anything on. Bmw don’t sell the bush part anymore either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps you could find a similar bracket from another 1980s BMW, or fabricate one yourself using thin steel or aluminum, cut with tinsnips/Dremel, etc. and bent to shape...

There's probably various DIY/hardware shop brackets that could be adapted to fit if you just want to buy one or two.
