Cold idle issue - waxstat ?

Hi All, looking for some advice on my recent 1987 320i purchase.
It won't idle at all when cold, but is spot on when up to temp, a previous recipt regarding this from April 24 says "waxstat tick over valve faulty and no longer available, restricted air flow and set tick over on throttle body"
Can anyone advice on next steps???

Presumably Jetronic injection?
