325i cutting out

my 325 keeps cutting out, restarts after about 5 mins of rest, sometimes runs fine, other times it come to a holt. doesnt splutter jsut stops, any ideas as to what it could be?
1986 325i - Gone. 1993 318i touring, m52 in the planning stages.

At a guess sounds like fuel pump relay, just an idear

yeah sounds like the fuelpump realay to me to, kinda had the same problrm with mine just cut out one day changed the relay and all has been fine since, :) thats what i would check first.
