I am planning to replace my coolant hoses and have a couple of questions.
1. You will see in the attached photos my engine bay and the RealOem schematic. The connection to the radiator is different. On RealOem there are two options for my chassis number and the one attached shows the expansion tank located where mine is so I believe this to be correct. When I look at the part numbers, and associated parts, they don’t look like a match. Help please!
2. When I have tracked the right hoses (set of) down, any recommendations where to buy? What about the silicon sets on eBay?
3. Any other advice/thoughts appreciated.
Thanks

Your radiator doesn't look original to me.
But I'm only familiar with the later cooling system with header tank on the left.

I’ve had the car 20 years and had the radiator replaced but I’m pretty certain the hoses are original!!
Having done some more research I think the RealOem diagram is more illustrative than precise but their part numbers are accurate.
Would like someone to confirm about the diagram though!!
Thanks

Realoem diagrams are generic. Best way to use realoem is get the part number and google an image of it.
other way is to send your VIN to Jon @ Cotswolds and he will tell you what was originally fitted.
86 was PFL and there were quite a few variations during that time Earlier cars and later cars are very different (I have both) but the radiator does not look OEM to me either.
Is it a PFL (chromie) and does it have aircon?

I can see its a Behr radiator, you dont get much more OEM than that!
As hs been said already the realoem diagrams are not always representative of the actual parts
