My '85 323i is currently leaking air from the place where I believe earlier versions of the engine had a 'cold start valve'. It's currently plugged with a short rubber hose with a bolt in it - I'm guessing someone's 'quick fix' at some point - but the hose has split a bit and I can hear the air leak. Looking on Realoem using my VIN it shows the diag with the cold start valve (greyed out), but doesn't show what should be used for scenarios where it's been deleted. Looking about at other pics of 323i engines, I think there might be a part specifically for that job - circled in the below pic:
Can anyone help with a part number, or an acceptable alternative way to block this off?
323i Cold Start Valve 'blanking' parts

Hi
Looking at my own 323i, the area you have circled does not have anything in it. It appears to be a blank casting hole.
The cold start valve uses the hole below it to mout.
