Hi guys - quick one - got a long drive this weekend so was doing a little inspection of the car. I noticed a small amount of oil and crusty residue on top of the throttle body, at the join near where the breather hose connects. Never seen this before which is why it stood out to me... there's a pic below although I'd already wiped the oil away. However you can also see some white-ish residue on the hose which connects at a right angle to the breather hose - not sure what that is? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

If you are talking about the small hose in the middle of the picture with the rusty hose clamp, that is corrosion of the aluminium spigot/housing that the hose is clamped to. It is the throttle body heater which has coolant flowing through it, completely pointless in this country and commonly removed
