I'm about to do a cambelt change and have read through the wiki guide.
Before I dive into it, it would be useful to know if I'm going to be able to remove the crankshaft pulley - which seems to depend on whether it is one piece (hopefully) or a two piece.
Is there anyway of knowing before I start - e.g. does the year or engine determine this?
Mine is an '88 325i M20.
Thanks

undo the ring of 13mm bolts and remove the V-Belt part of the pulley, this leaves the tooth drive part bolted to the crankshaft.
There will be a line that lines up with a notch in the casing for TDC, the camshaft pulley has a similar marking that lines up with a line on the cylinder head.
