I have a 1.9 auto and in time I want to change it to a modern motor, I would like 200bhp ish
What would the easiest route be to get this I am no machanic so might have to pay to have it I stalled hence why I would need an easy method to try keep costs down a bit.
I would like (I think) to keep it automatic

Best bang for buck would be what has been tried and tested M50/M52 2.8. They are getting a bit old and hard to find themselves now but they can easily make 200bhp and will be about the easiest swap out there. Have a look at the wiki for details.

M20 can make 200bhp but it will be many more £££ than M5x

Anything more modern than an M52 and you are into wiring that will take time/effort/money
