Part of my spoiler came apart from the boot lid and I took the other nuts off but would love to know how YOU would attach it back on making sure it is water proof.
I thought about using these but without the wingnuts.

How about these rubber rivnuts, you could drill out the spoiler, bond these in with windscreen sealant and mount studs in them with thread lock? https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/rubber-rivnutsmartauto wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2022 5:28 pmPart of my spoiler came apart from the boot lid and I took the other nuts off but would love to know how YOU would attach it back on making sure it is water proof.IMG_20220902_155815.jpgIMG_20220902_155809.jpg

Personally I would do something a lot simpler, wash everything, clean the rust off with a dremmel, kill the rest with Jenolite, let everything dry and harden. Wire brush again to key everything and then just fit the original studs back in with epoxy. More than stong enough to hold the spoiler on when fully cured.
Done exactly that for a similar spoiler on a Ford and was fine for the 10 years or so I (and my mate afterward) still had it.
Least destructive way.

Thanks guy`s,
The original bits are no longer around and I dont want to make it permanent with glue etc so I have gone for what I thought might be fine but with a lot of silicone sealant on the underside of the spoiler.
It`s done very well for over 35 years
