I have a 1992 BMW E30 320i. I have recently had the instrument cluster repaired and at the same time I installed a new Speedtouch chip in the ECU. I believe that I have correctly installed the chip and the cluster. However, my immobilizer won't allow me to start the car. There is no power (engine will not turn over and there's no power to car). The battery is fine, it's a year old and is connected to a trickle charger. Can someone please advise as to why my immobilizer won't allow me to start the car. Thanks

Is it an after market immobiliser?

I'm not sure if it's aftermarket. I did think that the immobilizer might be the issue

Check the immobiliser (assuming it's factory) by giving the fuel pump direct 12v from the battery. If you can hear it running then that could be the problem although I don't see why the work you carried out would affect it.

So after a bit of research, it looks like an aftermarket cobra A8510 immobilizer. Could that be the issue?

No idea! Trace the wiring from the immobiliser and see where it goes. If it's to the fuel pump then try what I previously suggested.
