Hello,
I have a 1987 320i convertible and the central locking has been playing up on and off for around a year getting progressively worse, then the central locking stopped working completely and the drivers window.
So far I’ve checked all the fuses and they are good. I also fitted a new drivers window switch.
When the drivers door was opened and closed I could hear a rest clicking which I assume isn’t normal, when the central locking and drivers window failed completely this also stopped.
I read somewhere that the K5 and k7 relays can cause issues and the wiring from the starter motor?
But im wondering in my case if it’s corroded/bad wiring in the drivers door as I can see some degree of rust and discolouration around the wiring loom and white plastic bit that plugs in the car body that goes into the door.
Can anyone recommend what to try next?
Thank you

You've answered your own question.
Check the wiring going into the door.
