So I can't for the life of me figure out why the previous owner would have ripped these out but judging by the long list of bodges of his that I've had to correct on this car now, it comes as no surprise honestly

So he had removed the fog light switch and I have found tucked up there a few wires with their ends wrapped in insulation tape.

I'm quite sure these are for the switch but I need help to identify what they're for so I can hard wire wire back in please

These are;

Yellow/black
Grey/purple
Grey
Grey/blue

Also I have found a twin wire with a small plug half way down.
They are brown and Grey/red. They then split into 4 wires which are 2 brown and 2 grey/red with bulbs on the end

Brown and grey/red for each bulb

Qny help to identify what these are would be gratefully recieved
Thank you
Ant

The first 4 go into quite a large plug on the back of the fog light switch

(That's the grey purple at the front and plain grey at the back)

I think the others are the bulbs for the head light adjuster.

Very helpful mate thank you

These are what I have found. Typically though in typical previous owners fashion, he has obviously cut the bloody plug off so either I need a switch AND plug from a breaker or use spade connectors to get this wired in

What do you have left? Just the switch?

Not eve the bloody switch mate
The previous owner was such a pikey. Just a hole in the dash.
I do want to get front fogs for it so I'll need to get a double switch.
I take it that wiring up as per your picture will mean fronts will work aswel ? (When fitted and plugged in obviously)

Yep should do, although if they have been cut its normally because there was a fault that someone couldn't be bothered to chase. (could be as simple as bad earth) There are quite a few switches on Ebay but probably worth sending a PM to Magpie or 1 of the breakers on here.
Also worth asking Cotswold if they do the plug.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. If you saw some of the things I've found on this car, I think a lot of the old skoolers on here would have fragged it a long time ago but I've persevered with it and can see light at the end of the tunnel

I'd say it would have been a faulty switch and he just cut it out lol.
I'll pick up a switch and see how I get on thanks for the help
