Hi everyone
My car has sadly died on me and although I have gone through some checks I haven't yet found the route of the problem and would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Basically car was running fine and then it suddenly died on me and won't start.
Because I couldn't hear the fuel pumps firing up I thought perhaps a blown fuse or a dodgy relay. I can hear the relay clicking in and then straight out again> I have checked fuse 11 and I have tried a jump wire from 87b to 30 and 87 to 30 but still nothing from the pumps.
I have checked the wiring on the pump inside the car and resistance on the pump is fine. I haven't yet checked the one under the car but will try later.
The relay is a 7pin SIEMENS 5WK2221 relay that's what's written on the side. The car is fitted with I think with the L-Jetronic system and I do have spark at the plugs.
I am following through on the sites flowchart but any extra advice or pointers would be most welcome. Many thanks

There is is no primer on the pump when switching on ignition, it only runs with the engine turning..
12v across the pump terminals or short the relay connections in the fuse box will prove if the pump works and will also prime the injector rail so it should start.
I take it you have pulled a plug cap and see if t here is a spark?
Check crank position sensor.
Fuel plus spark should equal running.

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.

The fuel pump relay is not in the main fuse box depends on the model.
I just belted the pump under the rear left and it worked, turned out to be crap connections on the terminals.
