Jetronic running problems

Good evening all I'm after some help with my 87 320i which runs a jetronic system.
It's been heavily messed with before I bought it and as its the first classic I've ever bought probably not the best first one I've realised now.

The main problem is I recently did the head gasket on it and got it all back together however now it starts first time every time then the revs slowly drop and it cuts out, however of I get it warm it seems to run fine.

It ran ok before I did the head gasket, now I know the air slide valve on the early systems is for cold start but it's never had one since I've had it so I've ruled that out, and was hoping someone could shed some light on what else I can check.

I plan to smoke test the pipes, check the tps and blue temp sensor and was just wondering what else I should check and if any geniuses on here have any recommendations, besides change the engine.
Or if theres anyone based in the midlands UK that might be able to come have a look that'd be even better
