Anyone fitted one of these to their AC system and have a recommendation of what brand/model to buy? Found one that the guys on R3v use but only available in the USA. Anyone know of any european brands that do a PF condenser that fits a E30 325i? Oh and any electric fan recommendations too please.

Nissens seems to be the one to go for. Got one (not fitted) sprayed black in preparation.

Cheers! Did you use a special type of paint to allow good heat transfer?

Nah just black 2-pack that was in the gun. Just wanted it not to stick out like a sore thumb. Original Hella/Behr in the other one was black originally. That one is staying tube and fin as I want it to stay original even if it doesn't blow as cold.

Nissens stuff is not too bad if you can get it in Europe.
A few production batches have had the fan mounting brackets riveted in the wrong position.
Not a biggie - need to drill rivets and re-position.

Question:
- Does Rockauto not ship to the UK?
No worries shipping to Australia.

With paint, yes there are speciality radiator paints which minimise interference with thermal transfer (e.g. Eastwoods Radiator paint).
But honestly, give the front face a very light dusting with a flat / satin black and you'll be fine.
Not need to coat the thing all over in multiple layers of paint...
