I have just bought a used 188mm medium case differential, 3.64:1 ratio, for use in my project car. Would like to change the input flange oil seal, measured it at 50mm x 70mm not able to measure the width until I get it out. Doing a search on the web and all the ones I can find are 50mm x 78mm x 10/15, part number 33107609536.
Could anyone advise the correct part for me please.
Thanks.
Medium case differential.

Changing the input seal will mean that you need to set the backlash up properly.

if you are only changing the input seal you mark it and torque nut back to same position if the thing was behaving itself properly in the first place

Thank you for your replies, but I may not have explained myself well enough. The oil seal I would like to change is the one that surrounds the machined splines of the input shaft, the boss of the input flange seals against it. It looks like it is just pressed in over the spline, but I bow to your superior knowledge.

Thank you all for your replies and help. Have now removed the seal and found it to be a 50x68x10, the original diameter has been sleeved to accept this smaller seal size. The diff has been modified by a company called Weslake to enable it to fit the Triumph Stag.
