Good evening, I'm trying to establish the cause of a whooshing sound which occasionally emanates from beneath my bonnet whilst driving, I can't replicate the sound at idle. Its a metallic whoosh at lowish revs , I suspect it could be the viscous fan but I'm not sure . I know the rolled up paper method but will that help establish the cause ?
