My '90 318iS has been of the road for quit some time (rust treatment, full respray..) and now she's offcourse acting up a bit..

My front right indicator doesnt work, rear does. There was some corrosion on the socket but i've cleaned that up, working lightbulb fitted but no such huge luck.

In the same front right corner my windshieldwiperfluid pump (what's the word? Sorry guys, i'm from Belgium) doesn't work. to be clarified: the pump itself works, but it doesnt get power when i pull the lever.

How to go about this?

Check the earth wires, There is a connection of several earth wires in the loom, I have that problem with my left fog light, touch the buld to earth and it worked,

Front indicators are prone to playing up, my left bulb holder was always doing it until I bent the earth tag in the holder so it made a solid contact with the bulb case.

Use a test light attached to the live on the washer pump and see if it lights up when you operate the lever, that will tell you if it is a power problem (no light) or an earth problem. (lights but doesn't work)

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.
