I currently have E30 M3 running gear on my 318is which has the ABS sensors in place but not connected to anything (My car didn't have ABS to begin with).
I shall be swapping the rear trailing arms for M Coupé ones as part of the upgrade proccess before fitting the engine from the same car. (and getting adaptors to fit the roadster 315mm front brakes too).
I have the full ABS system and all wires/pipes and stuff from the Coupé as it is a crashed damaged shell on a friends drive.
Would it be possible to fit this system to my car? I've never had ABS before so can certainly live without it, but seeing as I have all the parts why not fit it? I realise it'll mean custom piping but I'm going to have to do that anyway to re-locate the brake master cylinder.
I suppose the questions most needing answering are:
Will the front M3 ABS sensors be compatible with the M Roadster ABS system?
How will I wire the ABS system/ecu into my car. I shall be fitting the engine loom and ecu to run the engine at a later date but can fit at same time if this'd simplify matters..Will buying the ABS loom/system from something like an M3 or 325i se help me or are tey too different?
Jordan : Is this the setup you have on your car?
Many thanks. Look forward to hearing from you.

I dont know about the Coupe, but on the E30 the ABS is a stand alone system and is not integrated with any other system.
Now on the coupe you will have traction control and other driver aids which will rely on the ABS sensors. The sensors will work if the Coupe has the same number of teeth on the front hub as the E30 M3 (you might find that the E34 might have the correct number) then its down to the electrics as the brake lines will be an easy fit.
I dont know if the electrics will work.
