Bodyshell Advice

I’m looking for a bit of advice, I currenty have a 1990 325i 4 door with rust in lots of places, I’ve been offered a 1990 318i 4 door shell which is in good condition, the only difference I see between the shells is the cutout for the exhaust on the rear panel, can you advice me if the shells are the same apart from the cutout?, my plan would be swap everything from the 325 shell to the 318 shell if I can, thanks in advance.

your plan is sound, plenty of folk have done a complete reshell on these cars over the years,

As Steve said above so much has been swapped between these cars over the years it is not an issue and getting the same year will be more of a bonus because there were bodyshell changes over time.

The only other thing I can think of are the various tabs in the engine bay that hold the M20 bits like air filter etc but you still have the old shell to take them off.
