Fast and noisy idle

G'day chaps.

I have an 84 323i with L-Jet and it has two problems that are giving us the irits.

1. Fast idle - 1400-1800.
I am pretty sure this is caused by a lazy/cactus aux air valve (11531287304).
Can anyone tell me a good wrecker in the UK that might have an aux air valve? - I can't find a valve in Aust.

2. Very noisy when started.
The noise is partly from the fast idle but mostly from the aux fan which runs for the first 20 seconds or so.
I've pulled the Normal Speed and the High Speed relays (K1 and K6) but the fan still runs when the engine starts.
Anyone got any ideas?

Also does anyone have a manual that includes 323s with L-Jet? - most seem to be about 325s with Motronic.
