windows and sunroof

Good day,I have a problem with my windows and sun roof , they'll operate with the doors open but won't when their shut , obviously the motors / switches are fine . Has anyone have any ideas as to the cause ,

Hi mate hope things going well?, you've had E30s long enough that I'm loath to ask the obvious but with the doors closed you know they don't work unless the ignition is on? that's how it worked in my chromie.
Other than that it is fuses and relays before I started on the wiring diagrams. Earths OK? Do both doors let them work?

Fuse 28 for windows and roof with doors open.
Fuse 17 for windows and roof with doors closed and ignition on. Power to 17 goes through unloader relay K5, so if 17 is good, check for power (ignition on) on the inner terminal of 17.
